Darwin Supercars Shift Up a Gear in 2020

Tickets are now on sale for the 2020 BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown, with next year’s bumper program offering fans more motorsport than ever before from 17 to 19 July 2020.

Each year the BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown attracts thousands of spectators from around Australia and injects $16 million into the local economy.

Next year the popular Stadium Super Trucks will return as a support category. Created by former IndyCar and NASCAR racer Robby Gordon, Stadium Super Trucks is an American style off-road racing series with identical off-road trucks to race in stadiums and circuits.

Stadium Super Trucks representative Nathan Cayzer said he was proud to bring Stadium Super Trucks back to Australia.

“Thanks to the support of Peter Adderton from Boost Mobile and Paul Morris from Norwell Motorplex, after 18 months of hard work with CAMS and series owner Robby Gordon, we’ve been able to reintroduce Stadium Super Trucks to Supercars events in 2020, which is extremely exciting for myself and our Australian fans.”

The Supercars racing program will also feature other popular support categories such as the Porsche Carrera Cup, Aussie Racing Cars and Improved Production & HQs.

A drag racing component will be included, with Aeroflow Nitro Funny Cars and Top Doorslammers featured as part of Nitro Up North on the Saturday night.

Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars Series Manager Morice McMillin said he was excited to get back up to the Northern Territory in 2020 after a successful Nitro Up North in 2019.

“The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car Series is all about the show and entertainment, we can’t wait to showcase this to fans both new and old in the Northern Territory,” he said.

“The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car paddock is open to the public to give everyone a chance to get up close to the cars and check out the 4000 horsepower machinery that propels these cars from zero to 100kmph in less than a second, and zero to 400kmph in five seconds.”

Early bird tickets are now on sale for a limited time at 2019 prices, including Hot Passes and General Admission tickets for Saturday and Sunday.

A ‘Take Your Mates Rates’ package is also available for $595 in 2020, which is six Hot Passes for the price of five.

Hospitality packages are available, including the newly-built Motor Sports House hospitality option, which offers air conditioning, suite hosts and premium catering and beverage options.

You can follow Supercars on social media and stay tuned for upcoming announcements including city activations and entertainment for the popular Sunday night concert.
