Early Bird Tickets on sale to the Territory’s biggest and best music festival

The countdown is on to the Northern Territory’s favourite all-ages music festival, with Early Bird tickets now on sale to next year’s People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS set to be held at Mindil Beach in Darwin on Saturday, 23 May.

Available for just $75 + booking fee each, People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS Early Bird tickets offer people of all ages the opportunity to enjoy some of the nation’s biggest names in music for half the price of a standard ticket to many of Australia’s other well-known music festivals.

Early Bird tickets are a great Christmas gift idea, but music fans need to act quickly as prices will increase to $105 + booking fee after Tuesday, 24 December, unless sold out prior.

A limited number of VIP tickets are also on offer for $220 + booking fee, giving attendees a premium festival experience with access to private bars and toilets, a finger food package, four beverage vouchers and a souvenir stubbie cooler and ticket. The VIP Zone, presented by Mindil Beach Casino Resort, will also have a chill out area with a view of one of the main stages.

Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC) General Manager Tim Watsford said the 2019 festival raised the bar with a fantastic new venue and record-breaking attendances. “We are looking forward to delivering an even better event for locals and visitors in 2020,” he said.

“People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS has sold out numerous times in the past, so I would encourage music fans to secure their spot as soon as possible to avoid missing out. Early Bird tickets are on sale, and now is the perfect opportunity to purchase tickets as Christmas presents for family and friends.”

In its 18th year, People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS has attracted numerous big-name artists since its inception such as Hilltop Hoods, Amy Shark, Peking Duk, Birds of Tokyo, The Rubens, Boo Seeka, RÜFÜS, PNAU, Nick Murphy FKA Chet Faker, Karnivool, SIX60, Broods and much more.

The 2020 instalment marks the second year at the new seaside venue, with People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS previously held at the amphitheatre in the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens.

Event organisers anticipate next year’s all-ages music festival to be much bigger than BASSINTHEGRASS 2019, which sold out and pulled a record-breaking crowd of 10,000 people from across the Northern Territory and Australia.

Music fans are encouraged to follow People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS on social media and check the website early next year for updates, including the entertainment announcement.
