Supercars: 2018 CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown a Resounding Success

Territorians and interstate visitors came out in droves to experience all that the event had to offer, beginning with the first ever night transporter convoy on Wednesday, through to all the on track action on Sunday.

37,497 event-goers poured through the gates over the three day event with Interstate and International visitation on par with previous years.

Erebus Motorsport‘s David Reynolds has been declared the unofficial King of Darwin following another successful CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown over the weekend.

Reynolds, who visited Darwin last month to promote the event, put on a fantastic show in his adopted city, with third place on Saturday and a hard-fought victory on Sunday.

Darwin’s own Bryce Fullwood took the Aussie Racing Cars crown in the first ever Drive the NT Challenge on Sunday, in another win for local fans.

The on track action was complimented by an array of exciting activities for fans of all ages including Show Time FMX displays, Matt Mingay’s Hot Wheels Stunz Inc team, the Disney Family Zone, NERF Battle Zone and a number of premium seating options.

Australian rock favourites Jet and The Rubens performed to a bumper post-race crowd on Saturday night and hip hop trio Bliss n Eso, alongside Thundamentals and Mallrat, headlined the last night’s post-race concert, closing out the 21st birthday celebrations in style to thousands of fans.

The Crownbet Darwin Triple Crown is one of the Territory’s largest events and attracts more interstate visitation than any other event.
