Northern Territory Major Events Company Event Funding

Northern Territory Major Events Company’s event funding and industry development programs, aim to strengthen and increase the quality and capability of festivals and events in the Territory. In doing so, collectively we will positively impact the community and economy through attracting local, interstate and international visitation and fostering community pride.

The primary objectives of the funding program are to:

  • Create new and develop existing events that engage the local community, attract visitors and showcase the Northern Territory.
  • Support improving the quality, safety and professionalism of events, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.

What sort of events will be funded?

Through the uniqueness of the Territory, as showcased by our events, are we able to stand apart from other destinations. The Territory is the home to one of the oldest continuous cultures in the world, has witnessed and experienced some of the most poignant moments in Australia’s history and has some of the most recognisable landscapes in the world.
