Alice Springs Masters Games entertainment to excite crowds

The Alice Springs Masters Games Opening Ceremony and Closing Party will bring the entertainment to ‘The Games with Heart’, with plenty of musical acts for everyone to enjoy. The free family-friendly events will feature a line-up of crowd favourites and up-and-coming musicians.

The Games return to Central Australia from 12-19 October 2024 with plenty of sporting action and entertainment to suit everyone.

The Opening Ceremony at TIO Traeger Park Oval, in partnership with Alice Springs Town Council will welcome the athletes with a march, Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, and concert featuring DJ JLC, Australian rock band Taxiride featuring Jason Singh and Australian country music artist and songwriter, Brad Cox. Kicking off at 5pm, Saturday 12 October, the community event will include food and beverage vendors for hungry attendees, and fireworks.

The Closing Party will invite everyone to celebrate the achievements, camaraderie and fun that was the 2024 Alice Springs Masters Games. Iconic Australian pop group Pseudo Echo, along with DJ LJC will bring the entertainment at Lasseters Centre of Entertainment with the party to start at 6pm Saturday 19 October. Lasseters will provide food and beverage options for purchase.

The ASMG began in 1986 and is the second oldest Masters Games in the world. The Games provide a fun and inclusive sporting competition but also an opportunity to explore the stunning Red Centre.
