The glitz and glamour of drag queens and kings returns to the Red Centre when fabALICE takes over Alice Springs from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 March.
fabALICE is a vibrant four-day festival of colour, creativity, celebration and inclusivity featuring talented drag queens and kings from the Territory and beyond, including special guest Anita Wigl’it from New Zealand.
The exciting program includes live performances, music, comedy, cabaret, and family-friendly entertainment across various venues in town. Attendees can look forward to an interactive Priscilla Queen of the Desert Screening, Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) Comedy, Cabaret and Cocktails evening, and a look-and-learn drag makeup workshop. The much-loved Newmont Tanami Operations Golden Drag Queen Bingo and Budget Barbie Camper Town Tour will return, spreading extra special sparkle across the region.
fabALICE Festival board chair Stuart Ord said there is a lot of people behind the scenes who make this wonderful inclusive event happen.
“The fabALICE committee and dedicated volunteers have been working tirelessly to put together a festival that includes something for everyone and will attract visitors and locals in Alice. We also thank all of our participating sponsors who have supported us for years to make this not-for-profit event grow and be possible.
“This year’s line-up is full of talented acts and loads of feathers, fun and fabulous frocks. I really encourage everyone to jump on the website, book their tickets and prepare for an amazing weekend of fun, colour and a touch of glamour in Central Australia.

A range of free events will also be on offer, including a youth program featuring a crafternoon, food decorating, and a live show by Stone Motherless Cold. The Alice Springs Town Council and CDU fabALICE Night Market is a family friendly event featuring local artisans, food vendors, and live entertainment.
