Darwin set to score when Harlem Globetrotters tickets on sale

Darwin will be buzzing with basketball excitement when the Harlem Globetrotters arrive on Monday, 24 June 2024.

Tickets to watch the iconic basketball team The Original Harlem Globetrotters will go on general sale on Thursday, 30 November 2023 at 10:30am, after an exclusive pre-sale from 10.30am on Tuesday, 28 November 2023.

It is the first time in decades the global entertainment team will travel to the Territory.

Harlem Globetrotters International Booking Director Arnold Bernard said it was exciting to be bringing a contingent of some of the world’s best basketball players to the Top End.

“We are delighted tickets will be on sale for the Harlem Globetrotters 2024 tour of Australia and New Zealand next week, and we are so excited to bring the team to Darwin,” Mr Bernard said.

“It’s been decades since we last visited the Territory and we are sure basketball fans will come out in droves to enjoy a world-class night of family friendly entertainment next June.”

The Globetrotters, who began in 1926, offer a spectacle of skill, humour, and jaw-dropping moves that will leave audiences shouting for more.

During their last visit to Australia in 2022, the world-class act drew massive crowds keen to see their exceptional basketball skills and showmanship, and a Territory audience can expect to be equally impressed.

The Globetrotters’ visit is part of an Australian and New Zealand tour next year, and comes as basketball continues to soar in popularity across the Northern Territory.

The Darwin visit is supported by the Northern Territory Government through the Northern Territory Major Events Company.
