Start planning for Darwin Festival 2021

The countdown is on for Darwin Festival 2021, with early release shows on sale now as part of the iconic event which runs from Thursday, 5 – Sunday, 22 August 2021.

This year’s instalment features everything from circus, comedy, cabaret, theatre, music, visual arts and family shows at a range of venues across Darwin.

Tickets are now available for 10 shows including the Darwin Symphony Orchestra’s live performance ‘Bungul’, circus production ‘The Pulse’, dance performance ‘Jurrungu Ngan-ga’, theatre shows ‘We All Know What’s Happening’ and ‘Heart is a Wasteland’, comedian Ivan Aristeguieta’s show, fully accessible show ‘The Legend of Queen Kong’, singer/songwriter Miiesha and ‘Carmen’, presented by the Sydney Dance Company and the Australian String Quartet.

Darwin Festival CEO James Gough said the early teaser of Darwin Festival’s 2021 program means local and interstate audiences can start planning now.

“We know that festivals and events are an important driver for interstate visitation to Darwin in August and we are well-positioned to provide an exceptional experience this year,” he said.

Darwin Festival Artistic Director Felix Preval said the team were lucky to be able to deliver the event in 2020, which showcased the Territory’s incredible homegrown talent.

“With borders open again, we’re excited to return to a program that places the best of the NT alongside Australian artists at the top of their game for 18 incredible days,” he said.
