The 2025 betr Darwin Triple Crown wrapped up in spectacular style, as the Supercars Indigenous Round took over the Top End for another unforgettable year. Well over 36,000 attendances were recorded at Hidden Valley Raceway over the weekend, with 47 percent of fans travelling from interstate.
The new 440 race format introduced by Supercars this year added an extra race and nearly 50km more on track. The program delivered three days of non-stop motorsport action, with support categories including the Porsche Carrera Cup, Touring Car Masters, Combined Sedans, and, for the first time, the Trico Trans Am.
Building on the success of last year’s Australian-first, the Darwin Round once again brought ‘Track to Town’ to life, with all 25 supercars rolling out in convoy from Hidden Valley Raceway to Darwin city for a fan-favourite signing session at the Esplanade. Crowds lined the streets and hundreds of fans turned out to meet their favourite drivers and get up close to the cars. The five-day motorsport spectacular kicked off on Wednesday night with the debut of the Palmerston Drivers’ Parade.
Broc Feeney, from Red Bull AMPOL Racing, became the King of Hidden Valley after he dominated the 2025 Darwin Triple Crown, winning all three races on Saturday and Sunday. The Supercars Championship leader won both 120km races on Saturday and was a class above the rest in the 200km race on Sunday. Feeney became only the third driver to claim the coveted Darwin Triple Crown, the first since Jamie Whincup in 2020. Feeney missed the Darwin Triple Crown by just over 0.2 seconds in 2024.
The Territory’s own Bryce Fullwood delivered an impressive performance for Brad Jones Racing securing top ten finishes in all three races, maintaining his 100% completion rate for the Darwin Round, making it 20 finishes from 20 starts.
Porsche Carrera Cup had a change in the championship lead after Dylan O’Keeffe made it a clean sweep in Darwin, while Mark Duggan won the Combined Sedans and James Moffat was the outright winner of the inaugural Darwin round of Trico Trans Am.
Away from the track, Darwin and its surrounds offered a range of experiences for visitors, teams and drivers to enjoy — from exploring Litchfield and Kakadu National Parks to fishing charters and encounters with local wildlife. The region’s natural beauty and distinctive tourism offerings added to the appeal of the event weekend.
Indigenous culture was once again front and centre, with the event proudly celebrating Australia’s Aboriginal heritage, a feature that sets Darwin apart on the motorsport calendar. This included liveries across Supercars and Combined Sedans categories featuring powerful artwork by Indigenous artists from around the country. The Darwin round was also the only Supercars event to feature Racing Together – an initiative supporting Indigenous youth to pursue careers in motorsport. Drivers Kade Davey and Karlai Warner competed in the Combined Sedans category, aided by Territory Indigenous mechanics.
Spectators were treated to the return of live music, with Shannon Noll turning up the heat on Saturday night. Australian rock royalty The Screaming Jets brought the weekend to a high-energy close with a standout performance on Sunday.
Off the track, entertainment continued throughout the precinct, with a packed program of performances and families enjoyed the Valley Infield Family Zone, a new dedicated kids’ zone that included the Supercars Super Kids area, that featured an inflatable racetrack, kids pit garage, a mini podium, a lively sports hub, face painting, and food outlets nearby. The alcohol-free area offered a relaxed environment with natural shade and views of the racing action. The Pit Lane Walk on Sunday morning gave fans the chance to meet their racing heroes and get merchandise signed.
Supercars CEO Shane Howard commented, “The 2025 Darwin Triple Crown has once again delivered an unforgettable weekend of racing, entertainment and community celebration in the Top End. From the energy of the crowd at our pre-event activities to the atmosphere at Hidden Valley, this year’s event truly showcased the unique spirit of Darwin.”
A staple of the Supercars Championship since 1998, the Darwin Round is set to return to the Top End in 2026.
